MacRitchie Reservoir Park

Loves: Huge park to explore Mother Nature over multiple visits.

Our Advice: Start and end the TreeTop walking trail at the Venus Drive entrance or access other trails at the main entrance along Lornie Road. Bring bottled water and some snacks as only water dispensers are available at ranger stations. Store any food in your bags properly to avoid attracting the monkeys (Do not feed them!).

Take a break from the cityscape and immerse into the lush greenery at MacRItchie Reservoir Park, Singapore’s oldest and biggest reservoir. Various trails around the reservoir are suitable for leisure walks as well as hiking trips to explore the rainforest. The highlight of this nature reserve has to be the TreeTop Walk, where you will have to cross a 250m long suspension bridge that is 25m above the forest canopy.  Be prepared to encounter long-tailed macaque monkeys, squirrels and monitor lizards along the way!


The reservoir is also used for water sports such as canoeing and kayaking where rental of canoes and kayaks are available. This park is also popular among birdwatchers as many species of birds can be found here.

- Alight at Caldecott MRT Station (CC17) and take exit A
- Turn left and walk along Toa Payoh Rise (follow direction of the vehicular traffic)
- Turn right and walk along Joan Road (after Goodwood Florist) 
- The entrance of the Park is after the Flyover
