Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, a confluence of the South and East of India where the goddess is revered, was built for the early Indian settlers of Serangoon Road. The temple was a source of security and familiarity for the early migrants and now a centre of religious, cultural and social activities for the local Hindu population.
